Most smallholder farmers lack access to formal banking, making them highly vulnerable to shocks like poor weather or sudden medical expenses.
Through our VSLA programme, we organize communities into trusted groups of 25-30 members. They pool their savings weekly, creating a revolving fund from which members can take small loans to invest in their farms or micro-businesses.
